Sees, yesterday I was outside in my yard soakin' up some sun rays and breathin' in some good fresh
airs and alls of a sudden out of da corner of my eyeball I seened it....
A GROUNDHOG!
So I hunkered down in my stalkin
 mode...
likes dis.
And then...and then...I tooks off likes a mini greyhound withs no sense.
I was goin' like 60 miles an hour...at least, if not faster.

And then da damn fence gots in my way.

I wents KABAAAAAAM right smack into it!
(NOTE: Dis ain't a foto...I drew dis withs my crayuns)

Knocked me back up bout a mile up da road.
I swears I looked likes a drunkard in a bar room brawl...not purties ya'll!
I has concussion nows.

Moral of da Story:

Miss Puddles! Are you sure you drew that picture of you smacking into the fence because it looked so real for sure. Mr. Groundhog is messing with you. Did he come over from the yard where the Po Po visited? Nothing but trouble.

You are one talented artist, Miss Puddles! That groundhog was fearsome-looking with his beady red eyes and everything. I can totally see why you'd get so worked up that you'd forget about the fence. I think you were very brave protecting your family from that evil beast!

I think, as Governor, you should be doing more to take care of the Ground Hog Menace.... or maybe the Fence Menace... or maybe the Crazy Lady with Camera Menace. One of those things... cause Governorshipping ain't just Beer Cheese and Pretzels... its beer, cheetos and napping... and taking care of Menaces.

K, our mom is going to get some coffee, cause that didn't make a lick of sense... and we live with her and usually know what sort of rabbit hunt she is taking us on...

You probably get so much speed because you put your ears back and it helps cut the wind resistance. So, I was thinking you were pretty smart....until ya hit the fence! Maybe you should just turn your talents towards art. Your pretty good with the crayons! :)

Holy crap I almost spit my coffee out from laughing.

1. Seriously that thing is scary - we dont have those here in Texas. I would have done the same thing if I saw that.

2. your drawing was awesome and I just cant stop laughing because it reminds me of the time Fred ran right into the doggie door when I had it closed one day - DUH all he had to do was look at the see the insert was in. ha. ha.

you are beautiful , wanna come lives us :)

OMD PUDDLES your artistic rendition of the collision is so GRAPHIC.

I looked at it and FELT your PAIN. Yes I really did.

That Groundhog is just stoopid. He should know better than to try to take on a MIGHTY DACHSHUND. We just LAFF at puny groundhogs. WE are BADGER HOUNDS.
I'll bet he didn't stop runnin and Poopin until he got to Georgia or somethingy.

He doesn't know how lucky he is that you were so RUDELY stopped by that FENCE.

I hope your Mum gave you a beer and some cheetos fur your efforts.

You sure that is a photo of the incident? It looked so real. And you was just a blur on my screen in the reenactment. I am surprised you did not just bust right through the fence. You must have held back just a little to give the groundhog a chance. I wonder, do they taste like bacon? I always knew you had a big heart, but holy dog for all that love coming out of your butt!! I know some peeps wear their hearts on their sleeves but you my bolt of lightning friend wear yours on your butt. I LIKE IT! With you we can see the love coming in your beautiful (all be it flattened) face AND going.
Blessings,

I totally understand your fervor. Seriously, are we sisters??? You always tell stories that remind me of my life...then, I sound like the person who always has a story to share after the person shares a story...

This happened to me at the dog park and it wasn't only my humans laughing but a WHOLE PACK OF HUMANS I DIDN'T KNOW!

Anyway, I am so sorry for your hurt pride and I totally understand the need to guard what's yours.

Keep hunting!

Puddles, You are so brave, it makes me shiver. You just ran with no thought for yourself, just trying to protect your family from that evil red eyed "thing". If that was a drawing(I have my doubts) then you should be drawing for a living, they would have special shows just for "Puddles Artwork" "So real you won't be able to tell the difference". I do hope that you are ok, it really scared me when you hit the fence. I hope all your insides are doing ok and that nothing came shooting out of you(if you know what I mean).
I noticed a red heart on your butt, so I thought maybe you left a little something.

Please be more careful in the future and take 2 seconds to breath and think before attacking.
You really scared me bad and now I have to go clean myself.

Excellent story! Fast paced, tightly constructed, great illustrations, just the right amount of humor. Hope your concussion is all gone. We think your mom is supposed to wake you up every time you try to sleep for about 87 hours, to be sure there is no serious damage to your valuable brains.

We have that same trouble with fences. Have you tried burrowing under yours? Abby has. But killjoy mama lined the whole fence with concrete blocks and secured them to the ground with steel re-bar. So our yard looks like your redneck neighbors, but mama doesn't care because she says at least we are secure. Phooey.

Go on there my Puddles - oh for the thrill of the speed and chase my dear, well that is about all I get to do, chase but never catch - I'd take a flying leap to the fence to mean I had one of my better days a hunting so I would! Do what out cat, Daphne would do when she falls off the fence, walk off slowly (perhaps that's best if one's sore!) and waive your tail slowly in the air from side to side pretending it was a deliberate act of stunning style and grace...seems to work for her? xx
