House Huntin'

I reckon ya'll knows dat I likes to hunt.
(prolly cuz I tells ya'll all da time huh?)
Well I does, I likes to hunt squirrels, ground hogs, chipmunks, kittehs, anything really.
I is good at it too...I has deaded quite a few things in my life.

But does ya'll knows what is even betters than huntin'?
 Huntin' INSIDE da house!

Dats right, it's even more funner to hunt in da house.
Dat way you is still nice and toasty warm from da elements...and since I not do cold and rain it's perfect!
They is sumptin' in da vent.
I thinks it may be an alien or a squirrel.
But hows would I knows cuz Brudder keeps gettin' all up in my business.

See dat tail...it hurts when it goes all flappin' around and knocks me in da head.
Anyways, so there is sumptin' alive in da vent and we sat theres fur like 8 hourse, barkin', scratchin', barkin' and scratchin' some mores and steppin' all overs dad's clothes .

Yep, but then Mrs. Killjoy comes in and tells us to knock it off.
"Woman, we is tryin' to protect you heres...go away!"

Well, it WAS fun while it lasted.
Hopefully mum will leave soon and I can resume huntin'.

You know what is even better than hunting inside ...hunting inside ON THE COUCH with a beer and a burger for energy. It's more a matter of just being ready in case an ant dared place one of its million feet on MY COUCH. Don't you worry, I would clobber any ant who tried.

And about my hunting lessons, my assistant is going to start working on the old bucket list this weekend.

Your pal, Pip

Oh Puddles, we're so sorry that Mrs. Killjoy put a stop to your huntin'. Like you said, hopefully she'll go away real soon and you can continue on with your duty. Let us know what is living deep down in the floor.

OMD OMD... you hunt IN the house??? Outta the elements???? Near your nappin bed???? Close to your foods and waters????? Inches from your toys? Feets away from your peeps?

PUDDLES .... You are a genius!!!!

We like to check out our vents too. WE just know there is a varmit under the house. That was rude of the Brudder to hit you in the head with his tail. Hope all of you have a great day.

HahaHa LOL!!! That last picture of you Puddles... that says it all!! Mrs. Killjoy? LOL! Gracie and you would get along great. It seems you have the same attitudes.. except you are more adventurous than she is. She is a lazy thing this time of year.. Now something in the vent might spark an interest though..
I hope you get to the bottom of this soon!

What a pawty pooper her is. I says when you catches da vent introoder....make it all squishy and puts it in da Kerazy Lady's bed...under her covers.

ShellePenn said...

I am thinking Pip is right... hunting with a burger and beer and a blanket on a couch would be preferable... but if that vent was blowing that lovely warm air, well we might have to move our blanket, beer and burger over that way.

:) We've missed you all, too.

You know there's a blog from Sweden that's about a pack of Doxies that are trained hunting dogs. They hunt moose and deer in the deep forests, in the snow. They have colorful vests on them so they won't get shot by mistake. Who would mistake a Doxie for a moose, I don't know. But it also holds a GPS device, I think, so they can be tracked. They have the rough coats so they won't freeze. Forget what that kind of coat is called in English. I'm glad your mom likes the Swedish ornaments.

And here I thought this was going to be about your Mom looking for a new house for you Puddles!
So what was in the vent, anything good?

GOOSE said...

How could she interrupt your hunting and protecting the home front?!! She'll be sorry when she wakes up in the middle of the night with a deranged squirrel at her throat. Then she'll be all like, "Oh Puddles help me Puddles. I'm sorry I did not let you deaded the crazy squirrel in the vent. Help me!" yea that will show her.
Blessings,
Goose

BOL, I thought you were hunting FOR a house! But that looks like a very impawtant job. I can't believe your momma made you stop! Humans have NO idea what we go through for them, honestly.

BOL Funny Puddles. If that wasn't a Bog Off face in the last pic lord knows what is. I deeded a mouse last month. BOL brilliant I chased it round my friends pad and deaded it. We should go a hunting together pal. Hope mums Hell-bow is better. Have a fabulous Friday.
Best wishes Molly

Um...I can't help but notice you have some PVC pipe there...you need to pry off that vent and push the pipe down there...it will help whatever is living in there to crawl up and then you can POUNCE IT!

Anyway, just ignore humans. They rarely have anything beneficial to contribute.

Yep, the Kerazy Lady is going to be screaming her little head off when a squirrel tries to dead her in the night! Then she'll wish she didn't make you sleep in your little kennel at night and let your useless Brudder in the bedroom with her! ;)

Seriously though, what kind of critter do you think is living in your air vents? It's gonna freak the Kerazy Lady out when she hears scratching in the vent ducts...

Just wait til she goes off to the gym one of those 87 times a week like she does, then pull that vent cover right off and go in for the kill then! Or does the Kerazy Lady not go to the gym now that she has her bum hellbow??

Have a great weekend!

Parents ruin everything, don't they? Hey, um, if you want to dead a few things, you can come visit us; we've got tons of mice, and since we are 'ornamental' (so says Mom) and not hunters, we kind of leave the mice alone. But they do steal kibble from our bowl, so we wouldn't mind a few less mice. We just can't be bothered to do anything about them. But if you come, you can dead them, and we'll provide the beer. We'll even get Mom to go to the liquor store so you can have real beer and not the 3.2% alcohol beer that is sold in the grocery stores in Utah...

You know... if it was us, we'd just leave the vermin down in the vent. It'll probably come out in the middle of the night when every buddy is sleeping in their kennels... and it'll jump in your mom and dad's bed and no buddy will be able to save them! Did you mention that to your mom? It'll happen in the middle of the night... that's the important part!

Puddles I am so glad to hear that you are doing better. I was so very very very worried about you. When I heard I dropped down on all four knees and started saying my very best prayers for you. And I am sure that no matter what your furs look like you are as beautiful as ever. Now you just take it easy, don't drink any beer (until the drugs has left your system), but eat plenty of Cheetos, just to take the edge off. And remember if you are seeing double that means that you can eat twice as many, cuz you are not seeing right.

What swelling? Are you ok, Puddles? If, as seems most likely, you have mice in the vents, sniff carefully before ingesting just in case they ate some mouse poison. Good hunting.
