A Confession and an Award

Ummmm...it's actually two confessions but it could prolly, really be 397,629 but we'll start withs two. My furst confession is that I really didn’t stump my toe and da second confession, you haves to keep reading cuz it’s kinda embarrassing.

It is no secret that my mum has an obsession with ginormous doggies like Great Danes, Newfoundlands, Greyhounds, and blah, blah., blah. Now I, of course thinks that it is complete traitorism to us doxies and other small breeds. Anyway, when Sampson, a Great Dane, came to MY house my mum turned all giddy and goofy and had to bring ME and da camera out. Yea, then hers had to ooooh and aaaah some mores…really, hers was acting like a moron. Oh yea, you can bets your tails I showed that Sampson who da boss was. I let out my most ferocious Puddles growl…you know, I hads to set things straight with this horse doggie.

It's a horse of course.

Mum put me on da ground so her could take pictures of Sampson I could get acquainted with Sampson. Well now heres where I confess…but I will tell ya’ll only if you promise to keeps it amongst yourselves because it is most embarrassing and I haves a reputation you know. Sometimes I act all big and bad but I haves to be honest…this dog scared da crap outta me.

Oh, don't step on da Puddles, you'll squish me like a bug.

Oh gosh, I can’ts believe I’m telling ya’ll this. Let’s face it, he is da biggest doggie I have evers seen in my whole entire life. I thoughts I was having a seizure cuz I was shaking so hard and like all my hairs starting flying off of me. My mum even tried to walk off from me so her could take a picture of him and I was like…Muuuuuuuum, don’t leeeeeave me!!!!!! I just don’t know what in da world came over me. And of course it didn’t help matters that my mum was laughing hysterically at me during my time of need. I thought it was just rude of hers when I was in fear of my life (mental note: get new mum). He is pretty though.

Oh Lawd heeeelp me, I'm gonna diiiiie! I promise I want do nuttin bad evers again.

Award:
Over da weekend my mum received a most beautiful award from Sammy and Andy. And we really likes them a whole bunches and their mom used to belong to dachshunds…hers even brought a pair back from da mudderland….that would be Germany.

Now da rule is to pick five mom’s so here are my pick and then I will explain why they was chosen…not that we don’t love all your moms or nuttin like that but I'm trying to follow rules fur da furst time.
Pick 5 peoples and answer questions....
Mona and Mommy Too and Bookerman and Asa's mom- because they haves just had tumors removed and I know it has been a very difficult time fur their moms.

Mollie and Bobo's mom and Khyra's mom- - because they donate and dedicate their time to transport animals in hopes of finding their most wonderful new homes. Without them, they prolly wouldn’t get a second chance.

Dog- Foster-Lovin-Ziggy mom- without her so many animals would be sleeping on da streets. Maybe I should give this to her her hubby fur putting up with hers bringing in all those animals…hehehe!
These are the questions my mum hads  answerr.
1. What would your prefect day consist of?
traveling through Ireland

2. How would you describe yourself if you were an item of clothing?
A nasty old sweatshirt with lots of paint

3. What hobbies are you currently working on?
photography

4. Walking in the woods in wellies or bare foot on the beach?
I would get lost in the woods so I'll take the beach.

5. Have you ever hugged or sang to a tree?
Ummmm...pass!

6. Growing your own veggies or nipping to the supermarket?
we have 2 tomato plants that someone used to get into...I won't mention names.

7. Have you found anyone exciting in your family tree?
Just me

8. Slap up meal in a posh restaurant or fish ‘n’ chips from the wrapper?
Does tuna from a can count?

9. Which element do you most resonate with, Earth, Air, Fire or water?
Fire

10. Do you believe in fairies?
Well of course, they live in my backyard

THE END...tomorrow will be a short post, I promise.

Pees: make sures you check out Mayzie's DEE-EN-AY contest to win some cool prizes but most importantly...her is going to take some of her pawrents money and donate it to a  super duper animal charity.  I personally thinks her is part zebra you know, cuz of her stripes and all but I was told I couldn't vote fur that...hehehee!

Peace Out,
Puddles

Hahahaha Puddles! You do look so scared. Actually, I hate to admit it, but I get that way too sometimes when we go to my Gma's house because her doggie is also big.... not that big though! Anyhow, I know how that is. Poor you. If it makes you feel any better, my Mom laughs at me too when I get all upset over my "aunt" being so big and wanting to play with me. lol

Hi Puddles, thank you for the confession - we never really believed you had stubbed your toe!
You are too like Bailey for your own good!
We loved the pics of that most handsome Great Dane and we so understand your behaviour - as we explained we have your twin living here!
Our mum also likes these huge dogs for some reason.
Great pics and congrats on your Award.

Puddles, don't be embarassed. Being a little afraid of a huge dog shows unusual intelligence and self-awareness. We've all seen little dogs who want to take on dogs who could eat them for lunch and call it an appetizer. You are aware of the size differential. Yes, a very smart doxie you are. Of course, the comedic value of a small dog scaring a big dog cannot be underestimated and it does happen. I hope you and Sampson came to an understanding because he does look like a nice guy.

Oh Puddles you need to take your show on the road...you are hilarious.Mom's eyes were leaking...I said Mom are you all right? All she could do is shake her head and wipe her eyes.So now we know what it takes to put fear in the eyes of a Doxie one great big Dane!!!We think maybe you should hire Sampson to intimidate your neighbors?
You 3 darling Doxies stay away from the bad side of your yard.

Poodle, if it makes you feel better, I could walk under the two Great Danes that I met a few weeks ago, too! They're pretty docile fellows, though, from what I've seen!

You didn't stub your toe?! I'm shocked, just shocked!

Bunny

P.S. We can hunt for new parents together if you want! I won't squish you!

I can't believes your mom just walked away and left you with that big, ginormous, hugest THING! Why, he coulda eaten you up in one gulp. Mom's are weird sometimes with their laughing at inappropriate things and stuff. Did you know my mom actually LAUGHED when she was giving me a B.A.T.H.? I forgived her, of course, but really? What's that about?

Well, anyway, I'm very much glad you survived.

Thank you, thank you for helping to promote my contest! Oh! And my Most Magnificent ears are 127% natural! But my tail was whacked off - um, I mean - docked. (I updated the postie cuz I thinks that's good info for furends to know.)

Well Puddles I knew you were just yankin' my walkin' string about that stubbed toe thingy. It takes one to know one. hehehe
About that Monster HorseDawg... I would have been very much scared of it too. When I see hooooge hounds like that I go all crazy and try to rip their furs out... then I run and get all wimpy like. Just don't tell Ruby and Penny this OK.

Puddles, you is my HERO! Every morning my Mom gets her coffee, sits in the Mom-chair on back porch and reads us bout Puddles. (I have had a blog fur almost a year...but I don't hardly have any words yet....I am wanting to start writing but I have sooooo much fun reading everybuddies that I forgets to write). Since its big dog fear confession day, I must admit that I, too, suffer from this. My cousin is a Beagle and I gets VERY nervous when he is around....I can't even imagine being nose to nose with a Horsedog!

You didn't stub your toe? Boy -- you had me fooled. I worried about it all day! Don't be afraid of big dogs -- we're all just big teddy bears!

Wooos Puddles! That is one scary looking horse there, I know I would be nervous, we had a Irish wolfhound dog in class with me, makes the great dane look like a pony comparison. Do not worry, we still love woo despite woo fear...

Dear Puddles - Tip from Texas.
Always always run at the bid dog screaming your head off,it scares them into running away and makes you look good.
Cause bid dogz are just as scared of us as we are of them, so if we make them more scared of us then they don't know that we are more scard of them. make sense?

Hi Puzzles,

I decided you need your own nickname, okay? Thank you for the award!! I love the pictures of you with Sampson. Sorry about your mom laughing at you, but she was probably just laughing because she heard you say you would never do anything bad again. You have to admit that would make anyone who knows you laugh.

I don't blame you for being scared of Sampson. Remi likes to take one of his giant paws and place it on top of smaller dogs and squish them onto the ground. This is how he plays with them. So your fears of being squished were well founded, I would say. I'm glad you safely survived your encounter.

Tucker said...

OK Puddles I think you may need to take some valium or somethin'. I'll let you in on an official Great Dane secret if it will make you feel better. Us Great Danes are whimps! (don't tell anyone, k?) If you had just voiced your concern by barking loudly at Sampson I'm sure he would have run away, I always do. Next time a big doggie comes to visit ask the big Doggie to lay down. My Momma always tells me to lay down and then the little doggies aren't so scared of me. Plus, we don't realize we are so big cause we are too tall for mirrors.

Hi Puddles
Congrats on your award. It is a really nice one.
When Penny first met Daisy she acted all tough & was barking. When Daisy went to sniff her butt, Penny let go of her bowels & her bladder all over the kitchen floor, she was so scared. Don't tell Frankie, ok.

Puddles, we completely understand your fears of that ginormous woofie. However, our Meowm is laughing so hard she has a few tears rolling down her face. Now, we know this is not cool and we are properaly ashamed of her and we apologize for her. She should not be getting such a kick out of your fears. Oh and she oohed and aahed over that ginormous woofie too. **shaking head sadly** How did we end up with such a human anyway?
