Good News and Good News

I has Good News and then I has some more Good news today.

I wasn't gonna mention dis but nows dat it all overs and done withs I's gonna tell ya.
And cuz there is a funy part bout it too.

Da Good news is dat I is truly invincible but since ya'lls already knews dat I'll get on withs my story.
I went and had my shots on Friday and low and behold I had a friggin reaction to 'em.
I surely did.
Can you believes dat? Yes, you prolly can.

Now I knows Max and Milly and Shelby be allergic to da shots too but I just thought dat was weird.
I has nevers had a reaction befores.
Okay so I'm only two and has only had my shots once before but dat ain't da point...
I didn't have a reaction last time.
So I guess it is really fur reals...
I AM A LEMON!
EVERYTHING happens to ME!!!!!!!

See, heres I am.
I don't look too bad in dis foto but laters on my eyes was swelled up, my whole mouth ( couldn't even talk), all da way down my neck.
I has allergies and break out in hives in da spring so I had meds fur dat but Mr. Vet wanted me to haves Benadryl cuz he said my throat could close up...WTF?
And get dis...we didn't haves any Benadryl?????

I's gettin to da funy part, hang on....
Mum had to go to da store and her just walked in asked furs da Benadryl (like hers couldn't look fur it herself) and they wanted to knows if it was fur Abigail.
Well of course mum said no and dat it was fur ME.
Does you know what they said afters dat?
(Pay attention, dis is da funny part)
"What did Puddles get into now?"
WHAT??????
Bwhahahahaha...okays so it was funny afterwards.

But I managed to get some sympathies from my girl...
Hers hand fed me.

And even from Brudder Albert.
He was worried bout his Puddles.

So I had my dose of Benedryl and I is all back to normals now...or as normal as possible.
Mum likes me on Benadryl cuz hers wasn't worried bout me gettin' in trubles...I slept.

Nows fur da other Good news.......
I won't be around tomorrow to make your blogging lives miserable fortunate and complete with my thought provoking comments.
Ya'll will just haves to suffer without me fur da day...gulp.
I explain on wednesday.

Peace Out,
Puddles

Ohhh Puddles sweetheart, I am so sorry you had a a nasty reaction to your shots. It must have been very scary for you and your Moms. What a wonderful drug that benadryl is, it works on so many things. I am so glad you are better now though and back to your normal adorable cheeky self that we all know and love. I will of course miss you while you are not here as I always do so hurry back now.

I'm glad the Benedryl helped. We Pei basically live on the stuff a lot of the year because I believe Allergy is our middle names. Or something like that.

Now you are being totally mysterious about what you're going to be up to. As long as we don't hear about it on the Evening News I guess we can wait.

LOL> Oh Puddles, you sure do know how to make light of a serious situation. I love the way you talk. You are so adorable!!

How many shots did you get? Last year when Gracie got her combo shots she got really sick. I will never get all of her shots together again.

I hope you are okay and that you keep getting better and better!! ((huggies))

Puddles we are so very sorry to hear you had that horrible reaction!! OMC I cannot imagine my throat swelling up...I would not be able to M E O W to let Mom know she is doing things all wrong.
We cracked up when we read what the folks at the drug store said!!! You my sweet have a reputation!!
Mom suggests that you have your DNA tested she thinks you might be kind to her. This time of year her eyes are swollen every morning and she lives on Benadryl. She is the only person we know with winter allergies. MOL

PS there is roon in the 'vertible
be sure to sneak out of the house quietly.

I am glad you are better. That's really scary and you look pretty sad in that picture. One of our cats had a reaction years ago and they stopped giving her shots from then on. So, the other good news is that maybe you won't have to have any more shots!!

And what is this about your not being around tomorrow? What's the big secret? I may have to sniff around and see if I can figure things out - I am the Chief of Detectives, you know!

Oh no, Puddles! We are glad you are ok. You know, we are 4(almost) and we didn't have reactions to our puppy shots, but we both had them to later shots, and now Milly doesn't have them again but I (Shelby) still does. We have to take Benedryl before we go to get the shots and I (Shelby) don't get them anymore. We know that is not how it is supposed to go, but Mom says my life is more important than any dumb rule. So, we skip them on me... it was our vet's advice because the last reaction nearly died me. Doesn't matter anyhow really cause we don't go anywhere or get boarded. Anyhow, we're so super glad you are ok!!

Goodness Puddles that sounds very scary. When I had my shots lucky for Mom nothing happend. It is a good thing that your Mom ran out to the store for you.

Owned ByDoxies said...

Puddles - ask the camera woman which shots you had. Was it the 5n1 combo vaccine or 7n1? I have heard the 7n1 is more likely to cause reactions in doxies.

We noticed you kicked Albert & Whitney off your header and you're MUCH BIGGER now. Is this part of your allergic reaction???

So why is it good news if you wont' be here tomorrow??? That will make us sad.

We are so glad that the benadryl helped you. Mom once had a little puppy who had a terrible reaction to his early puppy shots and almost died. He went completely limp in her arms. The vet fixed him up very well and said that the pup could never have that brand again just to be safe. It never happened again.

Abigail and Albert were so nice to treat you so well. Extra hugs and kisses to them from us.

So sorry you had that bad reaction! Riley had some swelling in her shoulders and hips when they gave her her shots the first time but hasn't had a reaction since.

Riley used to have to go to the vet a lot when she was a puppy because of her joints (we didn't know she had hip dysplasia) and one time when we went, the vet tech came out and said "What did you do now, Riley?" Can you believe that...what did she do now.

We understand how misunderstood you and Riley both are.

Puddles, I am SO glad that you're okay! Hawk had a reaction to his shots, too, but it caused him to limp for a long time. I wasn't here to see all of what happened, but it was serious enough that the vet signed a paper that said he couldn't have shots.

Have you seen that training that Roo and Pip have been doing? I think I'll be able to run this race blindfolded!

Well.... now THIS was a scary post!!! My goodness. Had me on the edge of my tail the whole time! When I had an allergic reaction, mom didn't have any benadryl either. But when she got it, it didn't work anyway and I had to get a benadryl shot at the vets and some cortizone. Glad you didn't have to go through that!!! Hope you got lots of special treatment after that!!!

Maybe you can just get the titre tests next year and if they're ok, you can skip the shots. Or not get them all at the same time. Something. You take care, girl!
