Sherman likes to lay in front of the sink and diswasher too, but not becuase it is warm, he just likes to be in the way!
This winter our humans were running a space heater sometimes, when it was real cold. Partly because daddy gets super cold lately and partly because this year electricity is cheaper than heating oil. Sometimes it's the other way around. Anyhoo, right in front of that heater was my favoritest place.
Mornin'Guv'ner Puddles - Shiloh'n Shasta here. Yep, with mom'z help we gotz our pikchurz tu Miss Minna - she already sent us copiez of the finished product - made mom burst out laffin' - not shure y butt they iz great. By the way, mom posted 'bout a doggy modelin'contest on OUR blog (we du let her du stuff like that sumtimez - anyway, we think modelin'iz rite up your alley.

Some of us like the heat, too, but ours is on the CEILING! That makes it kinda hard to snuggle up to. Hey, we have an idea if your mom doesn't want you that CLOSE all the time. You could have your whole house remodeled to move that heating spot to another, more convenient place. How's that for an idea?

Seems like a most excellent resting spot! Okay, what we're really most impressed with though is that you've had the same rug for all that time!! Our rugs get so dirty and raggedy after a few months. You doggies must be very well behaved/very clean to keep that white rug white for all this time! Okay, sorry to ramble on about rugs...but you can tell I'm VERY impressed!!

Well, gurlfurrend, that do be the bestest place in the howse and you must guard accordingly. My hidey spot is smack up against the radiator wot is toasty warm and I sometimes put all 4 paws on it. Saweet!

I like to lay in front of the vents too but only in the summer when there is really cold air coming out of them....you certainly are lookin' good today (of course you always look great), Miss Puddles.
Meowms little doxie had a spot like that back home. Well, the vent was in the floor and there was a cabinet over it. On the front of the cabinet there was a little flap that could be lifted up (and it was) and he laid in front of that flap alot!

Hey Puddles - Anything that involves cute photos of you is SO fascinating! Our dog R has a special spot like that. It's next to our crazy AGA oven that is *always* on (I'm not kidding) - it helps heat the house and R's butt!
I love a nice warm spot, but I prefer sunshine in it, too! Too bad Albert seems to have found out how good your warm spot is!
