Lemme tells ya'll all abouts it cuz I is all excited.
You see, I was outside and mum was inside but hers was spyin' on me through da window and hers saw me break a right and then break a left and then BAAAAAAM...her saw me doin' da kill shake withs my head.
I hads Alvin's cuzzin in my mouf...shakin' him all about (dat kinda rhymes).
Yes furiends, I may be long but I can still turn on a dime.

Yes furiends, I may be long but I can still turn on a dime.
Then mum comes bustin' outta da house with her arms all flyin around...
(no hers didn't hurt herself in dis episode)
I looked at hers and decided it would be in best interest to drop my victim.
I looked at hers and decided it would be in best interest to drop my victim.
Then her starts yellin' "GO PUDDLES...GO PUDDLES...GO PUDDLES!!!!!!!!"
Now mum will prolly tells ya'll her was saying NO PUDDLES instead of GO PUDDLES but who are ya'll gonna believes? Me or her????
So her comes running down to see what I had gotten and
he wasn't likes totally dead so guess what my mum did?
Her GAVES me permission to snag it again so I could kills it and put it out of it's misery.
How you likes them apples? Purty cool huh?
Anyways, I killed him (while mum looked away and regurgitated).
I did not eat him though...he was too dang salty fur my taste so I left him and let mum deal with his funeral.
Then I ran off and rubbed it in Brudder's face dat I did what he has always wanted to accomplish.
See, leave da tuff stuff to da girls...we always get it done quicker and more effeciently.
Kerazy Foto Lady AKA mum just hads to go and blur his face.
Her kept goin on and on about havin' respect furs da deceased....pftttttt!
Proud Doxie
Dats blood.
Dats blood.
Yea, I had to haves a baff but it was well worth it.
Oh and by da way, mum will also attempt to convince ya'll dat her was not happy withs me but I knows betters...her was SOOOOOO proud of me dat her was doin da Happy Dance in my honour.
Don't let her convince you her was stomping her feet.
Oh well who cares?
I IS PROUD OF MY SELF!
I is looking furs a Chipmunk recipe nows.
I'm thinking sheeshkabobs on da grill.
NOTE FROM MUM:
It is true, Puddles finally killed her first chipmunk and now her head is swollen even more than usual.
Puddles would also like you to believe she doesn't know commands but that isn't tha case. She knows "Drop It" rather well. In this case, all she had to do was "Drop It" just by looking at me.
I am not crazy that she killed the chipmunk but being a dog and a doxie for that matter, I know it is in her makeup and breed. There is a part of me that is proud of her.
This dog is incredibly fast and it blows my mind to watch how quick she is.
Also, I felt like I had no choice but to let Puddles kill the chipmunk after the first go to end it's pain. I couldn't dare let the chipmunk suffer so that is why I let her have it again. It may have been wrong but it was a quick judgment call.
Peace Out,
Puddles...and mum
PS: Broward County is gonna be really disappointed they didn't hire me.

Pee S -kitteh's kill chipmunks all the time.....hmm.
OMD You rock, Puddles!! :) My girl doxie had a run in with a possum two weeks ago, now she is afraid to go out at night... Perhaps she should have started on something smaller, like you did, and work up?
I shall have to tell Dixie.
hugs!
Puddles, you're a legend! And your Mum's right, you can't go against nature and years of breeding!
SHE would have felt sorry for the chipmunk too, but SHE'd hate a maimed one worse!
Well done, girl.
XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella
Puddles,
Stanzie got a squirrel once, but it was already injured and moving slow. You must be really, really fast!

You are quite the war hero! I thought yesterday was a BIG day for our country, but look at you GO! Will there some kind of parade in your honor?
Your pal, Pip
P.S.: I killed an ant once, but then his friends came after me and scared me away.
Miss Puddles! You are amazing! Yup, that is what you were made for and I can tell your mom was very proud. And, yes, she was right to let you finish the job.
Just as well you didn't eat it. Those critters can be hard on the digestions.

Bonus for your mom (not for you)...there may be a lot less chipmunks in your backyard. Word does seem to go out. Time for a beer, my friend!

Oh, Mighty Huntress Puddles - we bow before you and your mighty hunting skills! We can totally see why you would be proud! We would be too! Of course, our Mom is also a bit, okay a LOT, squeamish about this kind of behaviour - so she ran off to get some coffee. But WE say - GO PUDDLES! Um, do you do contract work? A lady we know has a little, um, raccoon problem that she would like taken care of.
The Road Dogs
Big respect Puddles! We'll remember not to mess with you...wow! Dex & Louis x
Yes, Broward County is totally missing out on your amazing skills! My dog R is SO jealous. He's been trying to get a chipmunk for THREE years, with no success. He's crying right now that Puddles beat him to it.

Hey Puddles, I rolled in poo yesterday on our walk. Is that cool?? My brothers were not impressed. Are you? -Ruby
Man that "Bloody Puddles" picture should go on your Facebook page!
Congratulations! You know, once you've had a taste....well, you know the story.
It's a good thing mom let you finish him off...imagine her trying to off the guy with a shovel? Ew, not pretty.
BOL!!! at your comment on Sarge's blog!! Your mom's been spending time in "Wayne's World!"
Puddles....are your Terminator services very expensive? We don't have chipmunks; however, Mom says the entire population of spring squirrels are in our yard. If your services are reasonable we'd like to hire you. Other than squirrels we'll furnish Cheetos and all the Bud light you can handle....oh and a bed and blanket in fact you can have the blanket mom made me.MOL
Sincerely,
Madi
Jan says she is fortunate none of us have caught a squirrel yet. We've had a couple panic, race the wrong way on the fence, hit the house and end up running for their life out of the pen, but no deaths yet. Buddy chased one up a tree once on a walk. That doesn't sound impressive until you realize he's a 45 pound dog.
WOW! I haven't caught a chippermunk yet, BUT I did catch a bird a few weeks ago, and I caught a rabbit, but mom yelled and I dropped before I could give it the killer shake... THEN I almost caught a squirrel, but he got away... then the next afternoon my dad found a dead squirrel under the tree, so mom thinks I got at him more than she thought I did and he died later of his injuries... What? You didn't know I was a hound dog??????
-Corbin
Puddles the mighty huntress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good job, sweetie!!!!!!!!!!!!
xxxxxxxxx
Sorry but I had to skip over this postie coz we do like the chipmonkeys here and we duss not put the bitey on them. Well, my sis Sydney would so I let her read it, k?
The County did not hire you??? What's wrong with them?! You did an amazing job terminating that chipmunk, Puddles! Well done in staying true to your breed. The other day, we almost got a chipmunk. too. The stupid bugger came into OUR porch (yes, our property!) so all 5 of us went after it. River almost got it. The little bugger squeaked when River stepped on it but it still managed to get away! DARN slippery floors!!!
Yowsa...that's total mayhem...you should be on Animal Planet!
Wow. We never get that close.
-Bailey & Katy
Puddles the Huntress!!! Great job, Puddles. TD is disappointed you didn't fill your belly with that good taste, but Ciara was just so proud of your accomplishment. Those little chipmunks are really fast, so Puddles, you must really know how to put the metal to the pedal or something like that. Bet Albert was so jealous.
Hope you find that recipe, then go out and get another one to test it out.
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
Ohh Puddles I am so proud of you! That is just the coolest thing ever. I can't wait til you see what I am giving Mom for Mother's Day!
Puddles, you are one mean, fast killing machine.
How did it taste, we need to know?
Love Ruby & Penny, your slow relatives in Canada
Wow Miss Puddles, you ARE fast to catch one of those little chippitymunkies! They are probably as fast as skwirls! I've tried to catch skwirls but as I'm a bit plump I don't move as fast as I used to! (Well, and my mom wouldn't like it either!)
Conbarkulatory wiggles,
Jackie
WOW! I'm impressed! I love the chase but never do much more than catch and release. Phoenix however... if she was as fast as you, she could do a post like this! But she's not... yet! Congrats!!
Wags,
Zona
PeeS - I'm very much nosy so I read the comments too (all 87308 of them). Frankie's comments made us BOL!
Puddles, I...um, 'scuse me for a second...ahem...breathe, breathe...okay, I'm back. I just had to collects myself cuz I was all emotional-like over this Most Proud moment for you. No wonder your mom was yelling, "GO PUDDLES!" I mean, she woulda been ker-azy not to be all puffed up with pride at your Momentous and Great Accomplishment.
I think your mom was super terrific and smart for letting you finish Mr. Chipmunk off. You didn't hang him from a tree or something to warn away other chipmunks from your yard? Well, that's okay. Cuz I bets the story will be told far and wide in Chipmunkland that NOBUDDY better mess with the Puddles!
Wiggles & Wags,
mayzie
Puddles, I feel your momma's pain. Last year, my little Meadow (a doxie, like you!) had a banner hunting year.... 2 chipmunks, a squirrel and 5 birds (2 swallows, 2 morning doves and a cardinal).
Way to go, Puddles! Chipper sheeshkabobs sounds positively deeeeeelicious!
Love ya lots
Maggie and Mitch
My goodness Puddles! You are very fast to have caught that chipmunk! They are speedy little things. We are super impressed at your hunting skills!
We are sorry to report that Meowm is feeling badly for the little chipper. She thinks they are very cute. She just doesn't understand the hunter instinct!

Frankie was on a roll with his comments. Sounds like you should be the next one to race Bunny. :)
Hugs,
You are officially Riley's idol!! You were her hero, but now you've soared to a higher new level! :)
There were two broken robin's eggs in our backyard...I'm wondering if Riley ate the babies! Doubtful that she would have left the shells though, so I'm guessing not. Who knows.
Okay, and Mr. Pip's comment cracked me up soooo much about the ants! :-)
I read your blog while I was gone to St. Louis, but didn't comment...so we are caught up on your crazy life!
Elyse and Riley
HOLY COW!!!! We are so excited! We go after squirrels ALLLLL the time... with no luck. How cool!

K now time for bigger stuffs..like birds, or like the turtle me an Rob found the other day or umm even snakes! Or squirrels! My sister actually got a squirrell back in the day...but it was already kilt so I guess it doesn't even count.
