Da significance in dis historical event is dat her has been here fur over a year and has NEVERS done dat. Hers ain't NO lap dog to say da least.
Her loves to be petted but not anymores contact other than dat.

Why I think that is quite cool that Whitney climbed onto Mom"s lap! She is feeling more safe all the time, and is letting Mom know she loves her too!
Awww! What a big milestone for Whitney! Mom said she remembers the first time Hawk laid down beside her on the floor and put his head in her lap for attention -- about a year after he came here. He was a bit too big to be a lap dog. He'd always been funny about being touched when he was laying down, and it was a huge moment for him and Mom, too. So, we'd like to know when Whitney's parade is going to happen, because we'd like to attend!
Of course you had to be in the blog -- it wouldn't be complete without a picture of you!

Looks like your mom got her Christmas present early! And what a wonderful present! We're so happy dear Whitney is finally feeling so safe and loved. We're sure it's your good example, showing her how much fun it is to be a lap dog. Or at least, we imagine it must be fun. We're in the 70 - 80 lb range, which isn't all that big, but too big to be lap dogs.
