Da Stairs

Good day boys and Girls!

Furst, I wanna congratulate Madi fur her second term as Mayor of Blogville.
As her camPAIN manager, I was worthless but I has been tolded I will still has my
very own jail cell and da key to let myself in when da need arises.
I has anudder one of my stories to shares withs ya'll today.

There I was all alone on da steps.
I knews right off dat dis was not gonna be a good scenario.
Let's face it, I is always gettin' myself into some sort of situation.
"Dats a long ways down"

"Here goes nuttin"

See, when you is a perfect shaped sausage dog such as myself,
you has to go down da stairs fast.
And when you doesn't then dis is what can happen

YOU GETS STUCK!

And on dis particular day I hads to scream and holler and whine
till somebuddy comes to gots me.
Mum says I sounded likes Charlie Brown's teacher...but in a blender.

Yeppers, you guessed it, I hads to make myself comfortable
til mum stopped laughin' at me.

 "Anyday nows woman"

Eleven minutes later....

 Still heres.

*Disclaimer: I is technically not allowed to go up and down stairs cuz I is specially shaped.
Howevers, da Puddles-Not-Allowed-Upstairs Gate was down so I made my move

Puddles...your perfect shaped dog dat shouldn't be on da stairs

PS: Don't furgets to sign up fur Jazzi's Christmas Card Exchange.
It's total fun balls.
Go heres fur more informationals.

You just need to explore. How can you not? Getting stuck, however, is not cool.

Good gravy, this post made Mommy laugh and laugh and laugh like a madwoman!
If you were on our steps, you'll probably end up sliding right down since the step isn't very wide...

Puddles(giggles snickers bwaaahaaa) I don't even know what to say. At first I got scared and thought you were "Puddles on a shelf" without your Christmas hat on. You actually look quite comfortable. Was Albert laughing at you? I hope not. I think it best you avoid the steps in the future. You might hurt your beautious singing voice with al that screaming. Then you will never get on "The Voice" AND YOUR mom will never meet Adam Levine and run off with him. Take care and I hope you didn't hurt your cute little booty.

Oh Puddles, those peeps need to fix those stairs so you can go up and down. Maybe put a ramp on the side of the stairs. It is kind of funny though. Good thing you are patient Puddles. Take care and stay away from the stairs.

Puddles, you just crack us up! That's the funniest thing we've heard in a long, long time (well, not so funny to you.) It's a good thing you screamed and barked and whined for help otherwise you might still be standing there looking like a statue.

That will teach the humans to remember the gate.

Hugs,
Lily Belle & Muffin

Ha! You should come to my house. We have no stairs inside, so you can go wherever you want. And we have a doggie door , so you can go outside whenever you want. And Ramps down to the yard. No stairs to deal with.

GOOSE said...

You know what ya need to help ya go down the stairs??? And empty Cheeto bag. Yes that's right and empty one. (if ya use a full one then they might get all broken). So just use an empty one, sit on it, give yourself a little push with one paw and hold on tight to your beer. You will be down to the bottom of the stairs lickity split. Important: HOLD TIGHTLY ON TO THE BEER, unless you want to turn your stairs in to a beer-slide.
Blessings,
Goose

Puddly wuddly. ....have you not heard of chair lifts...we could see you dooming up and down on one of those.

Hey girl! I'm not allowed on the stairs either but, like you I have snuck up them before. You have to figure out how to turn that long body sideways. My momma laughed at me too when she saw me going up like that. Now, I know you is one smart dog but you really need to go back and read my last couple of posts. Then the approval post will make more sense. And you think your mom is kerazy wait til you see what my daddy did!!!!!

I had no idea that being a vertically challenged Greyhound was fraught with such peril! I have the number for the ASPCA if you need to make a call. Hee hee! I'm sorry you got stuck! At least Albert didn't sneak up behind you and give you a push!

My mom just laughed and laughed at you sounding like Charlie Brown's teacher in a blender. I swear, the stuff that woman finds amusing is kinda beyond me sometimes.

I, for one, is sorry you got stuck like that and that you had to wait 87 years for YOUR kerazy woman to stop laughing (and snapping the flashy beast) to be rescued. I mean, most obviously it was HER fault that you got in that predicament since SHE left the fence down.

Yeesh! I dunno what's wrong with these womens.

YOUR momma HAD to find the camera BEFORE she rescued you off the stairs, I think that is grounds for jail or something....call ASPCA and see what they say. On second thought just stay off the steps...I can go up them but not down them at our house...the mean crazies and run up and down them. Today Margaret goes to the vet to get her butt glands done bahahahahha

Puddles....
You should not be climbing stairs!! It is dangerous for "a perfect shaped sausage dog such as yourself". Why? You could injure your back!! ;op

Dontcha love it when the humans are laughing and taking photos rather than actually HELPING?!? While we don't have any issues with stairs, a certain full-figured sister of mine used to get stuck under the bed and Mom would have to drag her out by her front paws (after taking photos, of course). Mom has since put storage containers under the bed so Lard Butt won't get stuck again. BTW, we think you should have a personal servant to carry you up and down stairs.

We feel your pain, we are terrified of the dreaded stairs too - so Mum has to go up and down 3 times to get us. A-hahahahahaha, anyway she needs the excercise!

Try the toboggan approach. Put your front paws out in front of you and slide on down the steps! I saw a chocolate lab puppy do that once :)

Very cute photos. It appears that the mom was hanging watching your despair for a long time. Bad mom :)

Oh Puddles... You know, I LOVES stairs. I run up and down them all day long when I visit Grandma. How about you ride on my back and we'll go up and down stairs together?

A Biochemist said...

Pip could grab hold of your tail and lift your back end straight up in the air and you could hop down the stairs on your front legs. You'd be at the bottom in a nick of time.

Your mom should've known better, Puddles what with the gate down and all. It's too bad you got stuck. I didn't know that sausage-type dogs had trouble with stairs.
Have a terrierific weekend!
