As ya'll prolly already knows there is gonna be a HUGE, GIGANTIC bash tomorrow to celebrate Ronii's birfday and da life of Richie (bless him) I hopes ya'll can drop in to sees Ronii and Momma Tea.

I am gonna bring Citrus Squirrel to da party.
I thinks ya'll will really enjoy it.
Yesterday, I found a squirrel in my yard. He was already dead though...I did not kill it unfortunately.
I tooks a pikture of him but mum said I couldn't post it cuz we hads to be politically correct on heres but I tried to tells her dis is not a political blog so it would be okays...her didn't buy it.
Her sure can suck da fun outta things.
Oh and her said sumptin bout it was nasty cuz da squirrel had flies all overs it.
I call it protein...and crunchy...mum calls it disgusting!

I'm gonna gives ya'll da recipe just in case ya'll wants to make it at home.
It's real easy...afters you get da squirrel (they is kinda fast)
I personally likes da alternate version of da recipe myself.

Citrus Squirrel
1 squirrel, 1 large orange, butter, salt and pepper

Place squirrel in baking dish. Quarter the orange and squeeze the juice onto the squirrel. Place at least 4 pats of butter on top. Salt and pepper to taste. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until done. Serve and enjoy.

Alternantive recipe when you don't have salt, pepper, or butter:
place the squirrel and orange side-by-side. Eat the squirrel. Then eat the orange to get rid of that gamey taste in your mouth.

See ya'll at da party!

Peace Out,
PS: da dead squirrel was prolly eletrocuted. Dumb squirrel.

That squirrel sounds really good (says Gracie)... of course she's on some pretty strong pain meds right now, so we can't really go by that.

Anyways... we will stop by the party 4 sure, Puddles. Hope you have a great weekend. Let us know what your girl got on her project when you know.

the only good squirrel is a dead squirrel... goes the same for chipmunks (that aren't Chip and Dale), possums (omd I need to blog about Dixie and the possum), and badgers...

Oh thank goodness you have the right badge. I am slinking around blogville looking at all the badges with the wrong date on them - I think I need a new secretary! What kind of silly woman puts the wrong date on an invitation and then sends it out to 87 million people!

I will take some of that squirrel with a side of french fries!

Your pal, Pip

The Daily Pip said...

Grrrrr, did my silly secretary not send you the updated badge! She sent a bunch of new ones out last night. Seriously the woman needs to be put out to pasture ...

Glad you got the right one from Mayzie!

We can understand not posting the picture cuz it was gross....but when it comes to the term "politically correct" our mama sees red and says she hopes most of our posts are politically UNcorrect!!!!!!!! She's different, but we loves her so very much!!!!!!!!

hehehe, thanks for the recipes...but mama says there is NO way she will cook us a squirrel!!!!!!!

We will see you at Ronnii's birthday party tomorrow...xxxxxx

Elocute means "to recite." Is that a typo or do you think the squirrel was giving a speech or performing in a play at the time of death? Did you find a bullet? Wonder if he was shot and killed for a poor performance?? BOL

Thanks for the recipe. I have it filed under "recipes that sound good, but are from sources not deemed reliable."

PeeS - catchy tune... squirrel goo sounds oh so yummy!!

PeePeeS - do you need an extra large crate for your extra large brain to fit into??

I am back for the third time ...we think the camera was set on auto. My mom didn't even find the other settings until last night (she needs serious help). Between the badge debacle and Rosie's singed whiskers, she is in la la land. I suggested she maybe read the instruction book, but you know she has the attention span of an ant so she didn't get very far. Instead, she asked papa to figure it out. He is going to check it out this weekend. So hopefully, the orange glow will soon be gone!

BOL at Pip's mom!!!! Although MY momma put da wrong date one on my blog and didnt realize it wrong til her read this !!!!!! BOL

Make sure you leaves your mom at home fur da pawty......we don't wants her 'sucking all da fun' out of things (and I won't remind you of her behavior with da Bono..) Heeeheee

Poor squirrel probably met an untimely demise. Too bad it wasn't one of the possums that sneak around here at night. Lots of love, Holly and mom

OH wow! Thanks for the wonderful Citrus Squirrel recipe! I must try it out someday if only I can catch one of those darn squirrels that run around in my neighbourhood. However, I do think they would taste better if they're uncooked but then there might be nasty parasites in them that is no good for us. So I guess it will need to be cooked.

Hey, we'll have to try that recipe. Sounds delish! Although down here in Paula ButterDeen country, we would put 4 STICKS of butter on it!

See ya at the pawty!

Hopefully Fi and Abby will be able to stop by the party (it's been a bit chaotic here, but we can always hope)! As for the squirrel? I've heard that they are better fresh, but I'm not much of a squirrel-eater... ;-)

-Dr. Liz (on behalf of Fiona and Abby)

(The girls are off at daycare (the fans drying out the flood on the bottom floor are loud and drive Fi nuts, so I thought they'd appreciate a break - and a chance to go wild), but I'm making the rounds.)

Speaking of squirrels, we don't have any near by, they are all in the mountains here. Do you think you could send some of yours here so Meowm wouldn't have to leave us to chase them?

BBQ squirrel!

Sounds grate Puddles!

Your squirrel song that's playing in the background reminds me of that song: "The Mississippi Squirrel Revival" by Ray Stevens.

Pretty funny song.

Oh, hang on....................................................................................................
okay, sorry...I just had to go pick Riley up off the floor (all 52 lbs of her) because she fainted as soon as she heard that a squirrel had expired right there in your yard!! She wants so badly to catch a squirrel or come across a dead one even! She's caught a bunny before, caught a bird, and caught a(n already dead) mouse...I know, she's a bit of an assassin! I promise I did NOT teach her that! Anyway, next on her list is a squirrel.

We're going to try 100% to make it by the pawty tomorrow! I'm going golfing and am going out of town on Wednesday morning, so I've gotta get some stuff done, but I doubt it will take all day...! Anyway, we didn't personally know Richie and don't know Ronnii but we have heard of them both and of Mama Tea! See you there! :)

Puddles, I don't know if it's your diabolical genius or just a happy coincidence, but your combining the words "citrus" and "squirrel" had me smiling and laughing (seemingly for no reason) at my desk today. I probably won't be fired, but I'm sure I'm going to be asked to take some mental health benefits that I really don't need. Well done you!

Sometimes moms just don't understand what should and shouldn't be posted on OUR blogs!! The recipe sounds wonderful though! Maybe mom will make it for my Easter dinner?-- Uh... she said no. Maybe a side dish??

PeeS - best. song. ever.

Miss Puddles, did you hunt and kill the squirrel yourself?? Your recipe sounds fantastic. We can't wait to try it. Mom wants us to ask you if your Mum showed you the pictures of the squirrel on KB's blog yesterday? He had punk hair!! Anyhoo, see you tomorrow!

Just had to come by and give you a heart attack!! Look what time it is that I'm leaving this comment: 5:49 AM on a freaking Saturday! And here I thought your Mum was the only one crazy enough to get up that early (and I mean crazy in a good way, I think...oh what the heck, I don't know what I mean, it's sooo early!).

See ya at the pawty later!

We tried your recipe last night... We had a huge problem cuz the squirrel wouldn't stay in the baking dish. And we won't even tell you what happened when we squirted the orange at him! Our mom isn't too happy today about the state of the kitchen...
